The project, in Piazza XXVII Ottobre, was born - as well as the rules of City first Masterplan, from the request to have a ground floor room free of pillars. The structure provides a symmetrical plan, with two stairwells/elevators side settled in order to support a roof box beam 3 x 3 m. wide, with overhanging shelves on the two main fronts. The three floors in between are suspended from the roof structure by metal rods. Structural analysis done by engineer. S. Zorzi, with collaboration of Eng. S. Ronconi. The structural system has oriented the choice of a fully exposed concrete building, with windows and stainless steel metal components.
